Table: combination of side dish with fish

Conventionally, all side dishes can be divided into simple and complex. Simple side dishes consist of one or two ingredients, such as steamed broccoli or green peas. Complex ones include three or more components, and therefore require more time to prepare and have a richer taste (vegetable stews, rice with vegetables).

The main rule: the spices used must be the same in all dishes, otherwise the harmony of taste will be disrupted. The finished fish can be decorated with figuratively cut vegetables - this will make the dish truly festive.

Ingredients for complex side dishes must be cut carefully, trying to ensure that all pieces are the same size.

It is best to cut vegetables into small cubes, with a side of 5 mm. They cook quickly without falling apart into mush. If the vegetable pieces are different sizes, they will cook unevenly: some will be raw, while others will simply be mushy.
